I absolutely, without a doubt, hate people who hang up on you when they called the wrong number... or the person they're looking for isn't around ...
... I hate them with a passion.
It's not that big a deal, really. Just a Thank You or Sorry would have made the trouble seem alright. When you hang up without some kind of sign-off signal, you're saying to me that you're annoyed. You're annoyed that YOU dailed the wrong number, or that YOU couldn't find the person YOU're looking for.
YOUR Problem.
... and I get annoyed, and worse, I don't have a channel to vent my frustration. At least YOU get the slam the phone down.
Next time, people, say thanks like your mother said you should. It'd make the word such a better place.
