Disney Platform Screen Door

So Hong Kong Disneyland is scheduled to open on the 12th September, a good 2 weeks away.

And MTRC realized that they missed out something. You see we have this nice feature that when the platform screen doors open and close, a PA message pops up warning the passengers. Behind the scene, the signaling system sends us a pair of dry contact, upon which we plays a previously configured message to the desinated zones.

They designed it for all platforms, all platforms except for the Disney line.

now, with 2 weeks left, they paniced. They'd asked us to start implementing that feature, they asked the signaling guys to put in additional contacts, everyone has to start testing from scratch again.

Well, I suppose it's a good thing (TM), it meant Variation Order time, and more money is flowing into the company and out of MTRC.
